What's the diff btw Fine arts & Visual?

Clinton Migliori: "units coming out of the two"? "sussing"?Fine arts is painting and sculpture and the variations on those (etching, print making)Visual Art is everything - here in is limited to static (not video, or film), including illustration, digital design, cartooning, etc.To find out what the differences are where you are going to "do a course" you need to talk to the instructors and/or the students and see what they a encouraged to do or prevented from doing. It's not like the school should be keeping it a secret. And why would it be "stupid paying for art" any more that it being "stupid to learn to steer an airplane"? Art can kill you dead if you handle the materials wrong (green pigment can contain arsenic.)...Show more

Bethany Blocker: visual to me would be film, or digitalfine arts would be canvas, sculpture, iron work..
