Janean Guz: It sounds like you did not rent the entire house & do not have exclusive rights to it. If this the case then she has every right to rent to other people & you get no say in the matter. She does not have to ask you about it or clear any additional tenants with you. When you rent just a room & not the entire house exclusively you get no say in what the landlord does with the rest of the h! ouse. If you wanted the place to yourself then you should have rented it that way. If you thought you did then you need to get a copy of the lease. The only way you would have any case at all is if the lease says you are renting the entire house. You should have gotten a copy of the lease when you signed it. If you did & lost it then she is not legally required to give you another copy. Without any proof that you have any exclusive rights to the house there is not really much you can do....Show more
