POLL: Which Music is Better 80s Music or 90s Music?

Jon Bergmeier: 2010

Anibal Katayama: I hate today's music it sucks. I like music for the 90's and 70's mostly and some 80's music too. It doesn't matter listen to whatever you want. There's no law say you can only like the music from the generation you were born in. Music lovers love music period.

Raye Tredennick: I'm a big RnB fan so I'm more inclined to say 90's since SO much good RnB music came out then.

Lester Haschke: I was in my prime during the 80s, so I love all the memories that music brings me!!

Ignacio Imbier: I'm 19, and since I was a freshman I've been listening to 80's music because the music of the time didn't seem very good to me. Now today, in 2008, I'm trying to get into today's music, but I just can't. Just seems like music was really good back then.People always say, "oh when I was younger I used to listen to that music." What am I going to say, "oh, I listened to my parent's music."Does anyone have any thoughts on the matter?! ...Show more

Lonnie Jehle: The 80s without a doubt ! That was the decade that produced NEW and INNOVATIVE music styles/genres thanks to the advent of new technology. The use of synths made music different and allowed musicians to experiment in a way that had never been done before. Creativity was at its highest back then and the level of talent proved it. Rock, New Wave, Metal, Pop . . . the list goes on, lived together "in perfect harmony" in the 80s and the youth of the day got to enjoy the diversity that the music scene provided enabling them to gain a true appreciation for good music. The 80s were indeed splendid!...Show more

Jesse Pirieda: Wow someone who shares the same opinion that I do, and we are even the same age!!! But yeah, I agree with u fully on that because it is just grotesquely hard to like any of the music these days whether it be rap, rock jazz pop or grunge. It seems that people tend ! to draw more towards the "Easy Music" as I like to call it. Basically that means music that doesn't call for any thought behind lyrical meaning whatsoever. But to answer your question, the 90s is my era of choice simply because of its art. ...Show more
