YG, SM, JYP Entertainment questions?

Jonathan Schlussel: 1) I'm 14, going on 15. Is that too old to try out? I heard many people started when they were 11.Nope! that's actually a great age to start. Then, if you get accepted, you'll debut when you're 19 or 20. I'm doing auditions now and I'm 13.2) I can't speak any Korean. I know they teach you, but will you be fluent by the time you get out of training? No. Tao from EXO isn't fluent in Korean yet(he's Chinese) and Xiumin and Chen aren't fluent in Chinese(they're Korean).3)I've heard SM treats their trainees badly, and has them sign 13 year contracts. Which entertainment company treats their trainees the best?YG, atleast that's what I've heard. I think they're the best. They let their artists have more freedom than SM and don't over work them. SM might put you on a water diet just so you could lose weight and they're work you to the bone. But that's what makes all their stars so big and well known. Though I don't agree with what they do, I can say that the ha! rd work pays off.4)Do any of these companies have year round auditions? Either online or in LAYG is holding a global audition. I'm not sure if they went to LA yet(you can be a walk in audition) but they did go to New York. SM also has the Youth Star Auditions, which I am attending, in New Jersey and LA. I don't know much about JYP, but I imagine so. It seems like most companies do the global auditions. Plus, if you're ever curious look it up. They always go to big cities LA, or close to it.5)If I do become a trainee, what are the chances that I will actually debut? All I can say is work hard. Most trainees drop out of training within the few months. All I can say is stay strong. If you want an actual percentage I suppose 50-75% chance of debuting. Especially with all the other competition.6) Which company is easier to get into?It depends on your skill. SM wants a fresh face, but you need to be talented too, and it's a proven fact that they will chose dancers instead of singe! r(Taemin and Key from Shinee).YG wants someone who stands out,! has that IT factor, potential, and confidence. You don't have to be a magnificent singer/dancer to get in. If they see potential in you then you have a chance.JYP looks for strong dancers.7) What does each company look for?SM- Looks (will make an exception if you are extremely talented)YG- Confience/PotentialJYP- Strong dancers.8) Which company is the most successful with their artists? No doubt SM, but YG's Big Bang and 2NE1 have been talked about alot because of their recent comeback. Their even bigger than Shinee at the moment, and even EXO(unless you're an EXO-M fan. They always show up on TV).9) The company will pay for you basic needs i.e. food, clothing, medical, right?Food and clothing is your own job. Anything else (traveling, education, ect.) is their job to pay only if you're signed under them.10) Which company should I audition for?YG, in my opinion. If you have the talent for it, go for it! You could try for SM, but you have to be really talented. It's good tha! t you're asian though. You have a better chance of getting in than me.Answer my question?http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgWDN......Show more

Warren Kotter: Hey :) No! That's a perfect age! A lot of trainees recommend to audition at the ages 13-18. 1) No, it doesn't matter if you have braces! 2) Yeah, it doesn't matter! Not a lot of singers are all tall! For an example: SNSD (Girls' Generation), Taeyeon, Sunny, they're both not the tallest people x] 3) Nope! If you noticed, a lot of singers wear contract lenses and sometimes glasses. 4)Yeah, if you're into R&B/Hip-Hop/Rap, YG is perfect for you. YG although is really hard to get in; they look at your talent like hard-core haha. But if you practice, I'm sure you can do it! Just think about each company and audition to the place that YOU think is right for you :) 5)Yes. But make sure your picture is not photoshopped (don't change the lighting, colo, etc. They will NOT accep it), it also can't be like sticke! r pictures. Just keep that in mind :) Good luck!...Show more
