Victor Macallister: I have my own health insurance and am happy with it. A small percentage of our citizens cannot afford health care. Using stimulus money to build free clinics in every congressional district would be a better use of the money than the ridiculous projects they will probably spend it on. It would provide jobs in the construction industry and medical field. And it would provide medical care for thousands of people who can't afford it otherwise. The clinics could even be built to be green, using passive solar to reduce their energy consumption and rainwater harvesting from the roof to flush the toilets, etc. Or old buildings could be converted into free clinics thereby revitalizing crumbling neighborhoods. Contact your representatives and push for free clinics. There is no good reason to dismantle our health care system when only a small percentage of people have a problem with it. Of course, this would not give Obama the power and control he wants so he wo! uld be against it. And hospitalizations for people who can't afford health care would still have to be addressed. but it would go a long way in addressing the health care problem and simultaneously stimulating the economy and creating jobs. It is not a total answer, but part of a solution that would have far reaching benefits.I heard Obama suggest giving a pain pill to Grandma instead of the medical procedure she needs. That is creepy. So if you think rationing is not part of his plan, you are mistaken. The government will be deciding who deserves medical care and what kind of care they can have. Anyone remember that old movie "Logan's Run". Old people, be very afraid!...Show more
Eleni Mccier: Because things are probably just peachy with them and them alone. They are not stepping outside their own little box and looking at those who are not as fortunate as they might be. Typical Republican stance, really - All for me and me alone. Screw everyone else.
Ronny ! Nowzari: Not many. Doesn't mean socialized care is the answer ! though. The answer is not that black and white. I love my health care. Why is Obama trying to steal that from me? And don't tell me I can keep it. It you believe that, you are severely undereducated.
Bennie Lantgen: yep
Frank Gazaway: Ghost - Insurance companies deny care every day.
Linwood Mccory: Health care and Insurance are 2 different things. I can guarantee that U.S. health care is one of the best.
Shaun Rapkowicz: Just the people who have fallen for GOP and insurance company scare tactics and misrepresentations.
Maynard Reevers: It's working for me. I have great health care.Last time I checked, no one in this country is ever denied cared. It is illegal.
