MLA Block Quotations?

Augustus Sarria: ALL quotations ("block" or otherwise) need an intro or some kind of integration into a sentence or paragraph. The fact that a quote is a "block quote" doesn't make any difference. Block quotes are just printed with different margins, etc., because they're longer than short quotes.If the introductory phrase is something like "According to the U.S. Department of Commerce," or "In urging people to get vaccinated, the president of the American Medical Association said," then how is that "biased" or "not factual"? I mean, if you write "The stupid Prime Minister said this," well, yeah, that's biased, but just don't do that. Just write "The Prime Minister said this."...Show more
