Stanton Villao: Very good idea to google recipes and try them. I would also suggest that you start buying seasonings and spices to see which ones you like or don't like. I use onion powder, and garlic powder on almost everything. Something else I use often is a product called Better than Bouillon, its a flavor enhancer (natural) I use in soups, sauces even in rice dishes. Bernadette Roel: Watch the cooking channels for technique.Go to Allrecipes.com they have lots of simple recipes plus an ingredient tab you can click on, enter the ingredients you want to use and they will give you all the recipes with those ingredients.

Ira Porietis: Depending on where you live, I know some stores offer cooking seminars. You can Google "cooking classes in (enter your city and state)" and see what comes up. Otherwise, try finding some simple recipes to start out with on Google, Food Network, RecipeZaar, and numerous other sites. They should all have a search filter where you can choose level of difficulty.The best way to learn to cook is just to try out some recipes, and make some mistakes so you learn what not to do in the future. You can also experiment with your own recipes, you never know what you will come up with! There's a show on Food Network called Ultimate Recipe Showdown, where these people are home cooks who have come up with their own recipe and compete for $10,000 a! nd a spot on the TGI Friday's menu.
