Heidy Fujikake: try horse hooves. they are not 'toys' but your dog will chew on it forever and he will not chew on anything else. you can get it at any pet store and the are only about $2 each. or they come in a bag for 12 for $10.
Eliseo Luma: Normal behavior for a dog. Dogs have the general mental capabilities of a 4 to 8 year old child, complete with the ability to understand languages, able to manipulate complex objects (open doors, use toilets, etc.), able to do math, able to recognize objects and sort them according to type, able to solve puzzles, and they also have emotions as well - similar to a 4 to 6 year old child who loves their parents. My dog is also able to home in on body parts that have medical problems, recognize alchohol and drug abuse, recognize uniforms, and can understand people in 6 different languages. Your dog probably has his own unique abilities as well.Hug a dog today! They need love!
Caleb Chapman: On the contrary, chasing tail i! s probably the most popular sport in the planet. The reason why human doesn't understand because long time ago, human lost his tail. The most fun sport of tail chasing then become the history for all human beings. If you study your dog closely, you will find that every time your dog started to chase its tail, it turns the body clockwise. This is the same as the rotation of the earth. Tail chasing counter clockwise is forbidden in all planets. Not only it will bring bad omen, but it will cause extreme dizziness which will lead to emotional imbalance.Tell your mom, tail chasing is the lost art that human being forgot. But, remember, you shouldn't do it yourself. It's also bad omen for human to chase his or her tail, or anybody else's tails.
Thomas Riner: Hmm. Probably idk
Barrett Zheng: He's a dog. Of course he's got brain problems. All dogs are "retarded" compared to most human beings.Tail chasing is no different than tapping one's foot or drumming one's fingers ..! . a way to release nervous energy.Tell your mom to chill, give! the dog a bone, and don't worry. Be happy.
Noah Deni: Most Dogs just chase their tale for fun. They do not suffer from any disease or brain problem. Its like drumming your fingers, just bored and finding something to do.
Roxane Leathers: It's perfectly normal doggy behavior. Enjoy the spectacle.(It could be that he's got an itch he can't reach and is trying to. You could give him a good scratch on his back, at the base of his tail and see if that helps)
Kip Ockenfels: I would like a dog that's:SMALL (At least 10 lbs tho)affectionatetrainable (To be off leash too)Cute(NOT super furry like a shih tzu)...Show more

Aron Ramu: sometimes,he may be playing, not retarded but alot of times this is a sign of a parasitic infection. when a dog ha! s worms or fleas for that matter and they are itching his rectal area,he will chase his tail. if this is something he does only once in a while, maybe he's just playing or maybe once in a while there is something on him.your dog dosent have brain problems.see a vet if he does it alot and look closely at his bowel movements to see if you can see any tiny little worms in it.you may have to break the bowel movement with a stick.yuk-i know but thats the only way to assure that he dosent have worms.
Lynn Melbourne: Maybe a dashound? Please adopt!
Efren Clankscales: i'd suggest u get a palmeradian, their kinda like chihuahuas but fluffier! thier great 4 kids and can b trained.
Cecil Derenzi: no, your dog isn't retarded or has ADD, he might have these problems but it isn't because he chases his tail. Alot of dogs chase their tail because they might have a flee biting them or they just don't realize the tail is connected to them. We don't nomally see our rear end! s and the same is true for the dog, but when they bend around they se! e something they don't see everyday so they are interested in it. They want to get to it but it is always out of reach.
Myriam Hetjonk: is your dog a puppy or an adult.Puppies chase their tails for the same reasons babies put their feet in their mouth, investigating their body.Adults doing this could be a sign of boredom, anxiety, stress, frustration,.etc
Ezekiel Kadner: I think that's just "normal" dog behaviour, correct me if I'm wrong!! All the dogs I have ever known chase their tails and it's better that they chase their own than someone else's right???Have a great day and don't worry about the dog chasing it's tail!! : )
Kelly Bistodeau: As others have mentioned, Kongs are great! If you want an edible chew stick, I recommend bully sticks..
Tory Clapper: Just bored - nothing else to play with. Lucky he's not chasing your tail
Abby Herwood: A great website for almost very dog breeds is:http://www.pupcity.com/dog-breeds/
Floyd Labuda! : they make a heavy duty kong... its black and it is supposed to me much more durable than the red kind
Antonette Shappy: My mom seems to think that when a dog chases its tail, it means he's probably "retarded" or has doggy ADD or something. I think he's just bored. What's the deal?
Hal Rouse: cockerspaniel?

Travis Colomb: Real bones, knuckle bones, go to a butcher and ask for cow bones.
Trena Berum: Rubber Toys. Anything that is hard and chewable. Also Get lots they have small attention spans.
Veta Slicker: she has been to the vet already 4-5! times and they said she was fine besides the heartworm every time
Sunshine Holets: Well, I own a dog who chews up a rawhide in record time- but she cannot destroy her Kong. I love those things!!Elvin Mannheimer: I would say:Beagle,Cocker Spaniel,Pug -- they are SUCH people dogs, we had a pug foster,Westie (West Highland White Terrier) -- some of the smartest cutest funniest dogs ever. Low shed.French Bulldog -- my trainer has one, adorable.Standard Dachshunds -- although you do have to be very very careful for their backs, do not get a miniature, a short haired would be best.Cairn Terrier -- They are like westies, The dog Toto from Wizard of OzTerriers are nice, pugs and french bulldogs have the smushed face so they need their face wrinkles cleaned or they get infected. Dachshunds often have back problems, knee problems, and eye problems. Beagles are very very loyal, and are cute! Pretty easy to train. Cocker Spaniels can be hard to house train, but after that they are pretty alright....Show more
Hilde Heskett: There are m! any dogs that can do this but to find the right one for you take into consideration your energy level. Are you going to be running with the day all the time, playing games, or just light play with a walk once or twice a day. Your energy level will determine what energy level of dog you can handle. Also, consider your environment. If you live in an apartment you might now want a high energy dog. If you live in hot weather you might not want a dog with an undercoat. Those are the things to mainly consider when you are looking for a dog breed....Show more
Ricky Frazer: Personally with my dogs, Kongs and rope toys have been the most indestructible.
Sheron Perrez: she is laying around moping and groaning and crying...she does have heartworm is this a cause? or is this just a 'off' day?she was fine earlier I just noticed she is like this now
Clemente Schoeck: Rope toys are the best one!
Robbie Starchman: all little dogs are studert so they are hard to! train but king cavaler charales spanul would be the best for you
Tatiana Evanosky: It sounds like she is pain, I hope she has been to the vet for treatment. It could be the heartworm then, if she is still looking depressed by tomorrow I would call a vet. It could be something else, we can't diagnose your dog on this site. Hope she feels better soon!
German Thal: I have found that kongs, nylabones and rope toys last the longest.
